Accident, fire and roadworks closure disrupt morning traffic on Alicante roads
Three simultaneous incidents on the A-77, A-7 and AP-7 cause significant delays on the province's main roads during Monday morning.
Monday morning, 27th April, saw multiple incidents affecting traffic in the province of Alicante, concentrated at three critical points on the main arterial roads.
On the A-77 at the height of Fontcalent, a traffic accident has caused tailbacks in both directions. Emergency services are working at the scene of the incident.
On the A-7 in Carrús (Elche), a vehicle caught fire, requiring fire brigade teams to attend, causing additional traffic disruption in the area.
Finally, the AP-7 in Agost has been completely closed due to scheduled roadworks, diverting traffic onto alternative routes and generating congestion on provincial roads. Drivers are advised to seek alternative routes and exercise extreme caution.
