Driver arrested after crashing into Novelda petrol station and refusing tests
The Local Police arrested the driver who crashed into a petrol station in Novelda after refusing to undergo alcohol and drug tests.
The Local Police of Novelda have proceeded to arrest a driver following a traffic accident that occurred at a service station in the town.
According to police sources, the vehicle crashed into the petrol station facilities, causing material damage. Following the incident, officers required the driver to submit to the mandatory breath test and drug detection tests.
The driver repeatedly refused to carry out the tests, which constitutes an offence against road safety. The refusal to submit to these tests has the same legal status as testing positive.
The detainee was remanded in custody. The authorities continue to investigate the exact circumstances of the accident and the possible damage caused to the petrol station.
