Elche mayor demands concrete timescales from Government for San Antón regeneration
Pablo Ruz calls on the central Government to set specific dates and conditions to restart investment in the Elche neighbourhood following approval of the new State Housing Plan.
The mayor of Elche, Pablo Ruz, demanded this Friday that the central Government establish concrete timescales and conditions to restart investment earmarked for the regeneration of the San Antón neighbourhood.
The first councillor’s request comes after the approval of the new State Housing Plan, which opens up new funding channels for urban regeneration projects across Spain.
Ruz insists that San Antón needs urgent intervention and that the municipality has been waiting for clarity on resources and the timetable for action from the Government for some time.
The Elche neighbourhood is one of the priority areas for regeneration in the city, and the town hall is demanding specifics on when and how the promised funds will arrive.
