Consell amends allocation system for social housing
The Valencian government introduces changes to the social housing decree approved just over a year ago, whilst maintaining developers' control over allocations.
Just over a year after approving a new decree on social housing, the Consell of the Generalitat Valenciana has introduced several amendments to the original text.
The initial decree, driven by Carlos Mazón’s government, established a more flexible regime than that approved by the previous Botànic administration. Now, the current Consell under Pérez Llorca is making adjustments to the allocation system.
Despite the amendments introduced, the regional government maintains control in the hands of developers over the allocation process for these social housing units.
The changes affect the regulatory framework governing access to social housing throughout the Comunitat Valenciana, including the province of Alicante.
