Elche to modify six public service plots to build 500 social homes
Elche council has announced plans to change the designated use of six public service plots to build 500 affordable homes.
The mayor of Elche, Pablo Ruz, has announced that the council will proceed to change the urban planning classification of six public service plots with the aim of building 500 social homes in the city.
The measure seeks to respond to the growing demand for affordable housing in the municipality, modifying the intended use of these council-owned plots.
The announcement comes just days before the forthcoming municipal elections, scheduled for 23rd May, which will decide who will govern the town hall for the next four years.
This initiative represents a significant commitment by the governing team to increase the stock of social housing in Elche and facilitate access to housing for families with limited resources.
