Home sales fall 2.2% in March, marking three consecutive months of decline
Property transactions intensified their drop in March with 61,295 operations, completing a negative first quarter according to the INE.
Home sales recorded a year-on-year decline of 2.2% in March, with a total of 61,295 transactions carried out, according to data from the National Institute of Statistics published this Monday.
This result confirms the negative trend in the property sector, which has now completed three consecutive months of falls and closes the first quarter of the year with downward figures.
The data reflect an intensification of the slowdown in the housing market, in an economic context marked by uncertainty and financing conditions.
The evolution of the property sector is particularly relevant for the Costa Blanca, where the residential market constitutes a fundamental economic pillar for both residents and foreign buyers.
