Home sales fall by 7.7% in February whilst prices continue to rise
The property market registered a 7.7% decline in housing transactions during February, although prices continued their upward trend without respite.
The Spanish property sector experienced a further cooling in the volume of operations in February, with a 7.7% fall in home sales compared to the same month last year.
Despite the reduction in the number of transactions, house prices maintained their upward trajectory, showing no signs of deceleration. This trend reflects a market in which demand remains high despite difficulties in accessing property.
Mortgage lending conditions and the general increase in house prices continue to be determining factors in the market’s evolution. Experts indicate that this situation could continue in the coming months if no significant changes occur in housing policies or financing conditions.
