Home mortgages reach highest level in 16 years for March
The number of mortgages established on homes grew by 9% in March, reaching 46,661 loans, the highest figure since 2010 for this month.
Home mortgages experienced a notable increase in March, with a 9% rise compared to the same month last year, according to data from the National Statistics Institute (INE). The total number of mortgage loans established reached 46,661, marking a record for March since 2010.
This upturn reflects the continuity of activity in the Spanish property market, with sustained interest from buyers and greater availability of mortgage financing.
The upward trend in mortgage lending remains a relevant indicator for the property sector, especially in high-demand areas such as the Costa Blanca, where the housing market continues to attract both residents and foreign buyers.
