Storms dump nearly 40 litres across northern inland Alicante
The province maintains an orange warning in the north and inland areas and yellow in the south until 22:00 for heavy rainfall.
Storms have begun to discharge intensely this Thursday afternoon across various parts of Alicante province, leaving nearly 40 litres per square metre in areas of the northern interior.
The Agencia Estatal de Meteorología maintains an active orange warning for the north and interior of the province, whilst the south remains on yellow alert. Both warnings will remain in force until 22:00 this Thursday.
The rainfall is proving particularly intense across the northern inland area of Alicante, where the most significant accumulations have been recorded. Authorities recommend exercising extreme caution when travelling and staying alert to possible updates to the weather warnings.
