Alicante faces shortage of space, technology and staff for new first-instance courts
The implementation of the new judicial model in Alicante is being hindered by shortcomings in infrastructure, technology and human resources at the new first-instance courts.
The Comunidad Valenciana is racing against the clock to launch the new first-instance courts, a structural change in the judicial system aimed at improving the efficiency and accessibility of justice.
However, in Alicante the transition faces significant obstacles that threaten to delay its effective implementation. The lack of adequate physical spaces, insufficient technological equipment and shortage of staff are emerging as the main challenges.
Judicial officials warn that without addressing these shortcomings, the new model risks remaining a mere change of name without real transformation of the service.
The reform seeks to bring justice closer to citizens through more specialised and accessible courts, but its success will depend on whether the necessary resources are provided in the coming months.
