Callosa d'en Sarrià declares water unfit for human consumption due to turbidity following works
Water in Callosa d'en Sarrià has been unfit for consumption since early April due to turbidity caused by works at water collection points, according to Public Health.
The water supply in Callosa d’en Sarrià remains unfit for human consumption due to episodes of turbidity affecting the supply since early April. The situation stems from works carried out at the water collection points.
According to guidance from the Public Health department, water turbidity exceeds permitted levels for direct consumption, which has forced local authorities to maintain the declaration of unsuitability.
Residents must continue using bottled water for drinking and cooking until the problem is resolved. Authorities are working to normalise the situation as soon as possible.
The works at the collection points are the direct cause of the prolonged turbidity affecting the quality of supply in the municipality.
