Calp Town Council receives ISO 14092:2026 certification from Bureau Veritas for its Climate Change Adaptation Plan, becoming the first municipality in Europe to achieve this.
Calp Town Council has reached a historic milestone in environmental management by becoming the first European municipality to obtain ISO 14092:2026 certification for its Climate Change Adaptation Plan (PACC).
Bureau Veritas has awarded the certification that accredits the municipal plan’s compliance with the new international standard on climate adaptation planning for local governments. The PACC was developed by GO2 by Global Omnium.
This pioneering certification positions Calp as a European benchmark in climate resilience and municipal environmental management, recognising its efforts in preparing for the effects of climate change.
The ISO 14092:2026 standard establishes the requirements and guidelines for local governments to develop, implement and maintain effective climate change adaptation plans.
