Torrevieja Council has closed the municipal sports court at plaza de Oriente due to repeated acts of vandalism.
Torrevieja Council has been forced to close the municipal sports court located at plaza de Oriente after suffering repeated acts of vandalism that have damaged the facilities.
The vandalism has affected the sports equipment and has generated complaints amongst residents of the neighbourhood, who used the space for recreational and sporting activities.
Municipal authorities are now studying measures to strengthen security in the area and prevent these incidents from recurring. The closure will remain in place until the damage is repaired and preventive solutions are implemented.
The responsible councillor’s department has urged the public to collaborate in caring for public spaces and to report any vandalistic behaviour to the authorities.
