Compromís demands more nursery schools in Elche after 280 families left without places
The political party is demanding the town council expand the offer of public centres after more than 280 families failed to obtain places at municipal nursery schools.
Compromís has called on the municipal government of Elche to expand the network of public nursery schools after it emerged that more than 280 families have been left without places at municipal centres.
The political party considers the current offer of places in early years education for children aged 0 to 3 years insufficient, a situation affecting hundreds of families from Elche who have been unable to access this public service.
Compromís is calling for greater investment in educational infrastructure to meet families’ demand and guarantee access to early years education on equal terms.
The shortage of places at public nursery schools is a recurring problem in many municipalities, forcing families to turn to private centres or to give up on work-life balance.
