Conservatorio de Elche: renovation of current centre and partial relocation to Jayton as short-term solution
After years of demands and broken promises for a new building, the Conservatorio Profesional de Música de Elche will have a temporary solution with renovations and partial relocation.
The Conservatorio Profesional de Música de Elche has been calling for improvements to its facilities for years, with recurring promises of building a new centre that have never materialised.
As a short-term solution, the authorities have proposed the renovation of the conservatoire’s current building together with a partial relocation of activities to the Jayton centre.
This temporary measure seeks to alleviate the space and equipment problems the conservatoire has been suffering, whilst a definitive solution is defined for the Elche music institution.
The conservatoire’s educational community remains hopeful that these immediate actions will not delay the project for a new building suited to the needs of music education.
