Fourth edition of Tribunal de las Aguas de Orihuela awards recognises agricultural work

The awards in defence of water culture and traditional agriculture have recognised two companies, one farmer and one researcher.

The Tribunal de las Aguas de Orihuela has held the fourth edition of its awards, dedicated to defending water culture and traditional agriculture in the region.

The awards have recognised the work of four winners: two companies linked to the agricultural sector, a farmer distinguished for his career and a researcher committed to the study of hydraulic heritage.

These awards highlight the historical and cultural importance of water in the Vega Baja, as well as the fundamental role of traditional agriculture in the region.

The Tribunal de las Aguas de Orihuela is a centuries-old institution that regulates the distribution of irrigation water amongst farmers in the area.
