Sexual exploitation network dismantled in Guardamar that threatened women with santería
The National Police have dismantled a criminal group that sexually exploited vulnerable women, using threats of santería as a method of coercion.
The National Police have dismantled in Guardamar del Segura a gang dedicated to the sexual exploitation of women in precarious economic situations. Those arrested used coercion methods based on santería to subjugate the victims.
The organisation recruited vulnerable women and forced them into prostitution through threats and santería rituals, taking advantage of their beliefs and difficult economic circumstances.
The police operation has allowed the criminal network to be completely dismantled and the victims to be brought to safety. Those responsible will have to answer to justice for crimes of sexual exploitation and coercion.
Investigations continue to clarify the full extent of the events and determine whether there are further victims affected by this exploitation network.
