Woman arrested in Elche for harassing a man with 263 calls in one month

The National Police have arrested a woman in Elche accused of persistently harassing a man, making 263 telephone calls to him over the course of just one month.

According to police sources, the man had been trying to socialise and meet people in the city, but the situation developed into continued harassment which led him to report the incidents to the authorities.

The detained woman, whose identity has not been disclosed, now faces charges for harassment. The investigation has documented the high number of calls as evidence of obsessive behaviour.

This case highlights the importance of recognising and reporting harassment situations, regardless of the gender of the victim or the harasser.
