Escriptor Canyís school in Monóvar has been waiting six years for Plan Edificant works
The educational community of the Escriptor Canyís state school in Monóvar, with around 150 pupils, has been waiting for over six years for works promised under Plan Edificant to be carried out.
The Escriptor Canyís state school in Monóvar remains trapped in administrative limbo after more than six years waiting for Plan Edificant works to be carried out. The centre, which serves around 150 pupils, was included in this school infrastructure improvement programme, but the interventions have never materialised.
The educational community expresses its frustration at the prolonged delay, which affects the building’s condition and the quality of teaching. Families and teaching staff complain that promises of renovation have turned into an endless wait with no concrete dates.
Plan Edificant, designed to modernise educational centres in the Generalitat Valenciana, has become a bureaucratic maze for many schools. The Monóvar case reflects the management problems that have delayed projects throughout the province of Alicante, leaving school communities without the necessary improvements to guarantee adequate facilities.
