Consell adds UA to mega-project for Montnegre river green corridor
The Consell is reactivating the environmental recovery project for the Montnegre river green corridor, which will span 20 kilometres through six municipalities from Tibi to El Campello.
The Consell has reactivated the ambitious environmental and landscape recovery project for the Montnegre river green corridor, now incorporating the University of Alicante (UA) into the mega-project.
The work will extend for 20 kilometres and will run along the riverbed as it passes through six municipalities in the province: Tibi, Xixona, Mutxamel, El Campello, Alicante and Sant Joan.
The project seeks to restore the environmental and landscape value of the river, creating a green corridor that connects these municipalities and improves the quality of the natural environment.
The incorporation of the UA into the project brings technical and academic expertise to this major initiative for the province of Alicante.
