Montnegre green corridor to begin works in December after years of waiting
The megaproject for the Montnegre river green corridor, which will connect Tibi with El Campello, will begin construction in December with a budget of 15 million euros.
The ambitious project for the Montnegre river green corridor, valued at 15 million euros and covering 22 kilometres, has an official construction start date: December 2026. The intervention will connect the municipalities of Tibi and El Campello.
The first works will focus on removing the reed beds that have invaded part of the riverbed, a fundamental task for recovering the natural space. The project will also benefit towns such as Sant Joan, Mutxamel, Xixona and Alicante.
This green corridor will provide a leisure and natural connection space for thousands of residents across the province, improving sustainable mobility and the environmental recovery of the Montnegre river area.
