The new IES Les Salines secondary school in Calpe will open in January 2027

The municipality of Calpe will have a new secondary education institute from the next academic year. IES Les Salines will open its doors on 7th January 2027, coinciding with the start of the second academic term.

This new educational centre will strengthen the training provision in the town, which until now has had limited facilities to meet secondary education demand. The opening will accommodate more pupils from the area.

The inauguration date is strategically scheduled for the beginning of the calendar year, thus facilitating the transition and integration of students. The institute will bear the name Les Salines, in reference to one of the characteristic heritage features of the coastal municipality.
