Palau d'Esports in Benidorm without hot water or adequate accessibility sparks political controversy

The state of facilities at the Palau d’Esports l’Illa de Benidorm has returned to the centre of municipal political debate. The Socialist Municipal Group has reported the lack of hot water in the showers and the breakdown of the lift providing access to the swimming pool for people with reduced mobility.

These deficiencies affect both regular users and people with special needs, generating discontent amongst athletes and groups that use the facilities regularly.
