PSOE reports 18-month waits for dependency care in Elche
The PSOE warns of the collapse of dependency services in Elche and calls for an urgent action plan to reduce processing delays.
The PSOE has reported the “collapse” of dependency services in Elche, where families face waits of up to 18 months for case processing. The socialist party describes the situation as “abandonment” rather than mere bureaucracy.
The socialists are demanding that the municipal government of PP and Vox implement an “urgent action plan” including more staff, better coordination between administrations, and the assignment of a dedicated professional to support each family throughout the process.
The complaint highlights the difficulties faced by dependent persons and their families in Elche, who must wait over a year to receive the benefits and services to which they are entitled by law.
