Port of Alicante installs technology to monitor water quality in real time

The Port of Alicante has unveiled an innovative water quality control system thanks to Mediterranean Algae, a local company specialising in marine biotechnology and environmental solutions for coastal industries.
The company has installed the first operational node of Posidone, its technological infrastructure designed to monitor water quality in real time in port environments.
This technology will enable continuous data collection on environmental water parameters, facilitating more efficient and sustainable management of the Alicante port.
The initiative represents a significant advance in the application of biotechnological solutions for the protection of the marine environment in port facilities across the province.
