Alicante TRAM to become pilot project for new high-capacity trams

The Alicante TRAM has been selected as a pilot project for the new high-capacity trams that the company Stadler is manufacturing for the Generalitat Valenciana.

The choice of the Alicante system will allow testing and validation of the new vehicles before their final implementation in the regional transport network.

All technical and operational details of the procurement process for these trams have been progressively disclosed. The pilot scheme in Alicante will be fundamental in ensuring the new vehicles operate correctly.
