TSJCV acquits former Torrevieja councillor Carmen Gómez over cleaning emergency plan
The High Court of Justice overturns the administrative malfeasance conviction against former PP councillor Carmen Gómez Candel related to the cleaning emergency plan.
The High Court of Justice of the Valencian Community (TSJCV) has overturned the conviction by the Provincial Court of Alicante and acquitted former PP councillor for Torrevieja Carmen Gómez Candel.
Gómez Candel had been convicted of a crime of administrative malfeasance in relation to the so-called cleaning emergency plan carried out in the municipality.
Section 11 of the Provincial Court of Alicante had initially ruled against the former councillor, but the higher court has determined to overturn this decision, acquitting her of the charges.
This judicial ruling represents a significant change in the case affecting the former PP municipal official in Torrevieja.
