Generalitat budgets €5.15 million to expand Guardamar health centre
The Generalitat's 2026 budget includes the expansion of Guardamar health centre with €5.15 million allocated through to 2028, whilst it does not include the expansion of San Miguel de Salinas.
The Generalitat’s draft budget for 2026 includes as the main healthcare investment in Primary Care for Vega Baja the expansion of Guardamar del Segura health centre, with an allocation of €5.15 million distributed between 2026, 2027 and 2028.
However, the budget leaves out the expansion of the San Miguel de Salinas health centre, an outstanding demand in the area. For the new auxiliary centre in Redován, only €100,000 has been allocated.
The investment in Guardamar represents significant progress in improving the region’s healthcare infrastructure, although other towns in Vega Baja remain awaiting future budget allocations to modernise their health centres.
