Alicante’s Ayuntamiento square is beginning to show its transformation with the start of the Official Hoguera assembly, one of the most anticipated images of the festivities.
This installation marks the countdown to the Hogueras de San Juan, which will be celebrated from 20th to 24th June, being one of the most important events in Alicante’s festive calendar.
The Official Hoguera is the main structure of the festivities and its assembly represents the definitive starting gun for the final preparations. Over the coming days, the square will fill with activity as this ephemeral monument is constructed.
The Hogueras de Alicante attract thousands of visitors each year, both locals and tourists, who come to enjoy the music, fireworks, mascletás and the final cremà of the monumental structures.
