Teachers' strike continues in Alicante into second week with new mobilisations
Teachers in Alicante have taken to the streets again in the second week of strike action to demand improvements in working conditions and education.
Teachers in Alicante have once again taken to the streets during the second week of strike action to press their demands for improved working and educational conditions. The mobilisations aim to pressure the education administration in the face of a lack of response to their requests.
The strike action, which began a fortnight ago, has seen significant support across educational centres in the province. Teachers are demanding improvements in working conditions, a reduction in class sizes and more resources for state education.
The demonstrations have been concentrated in the centre of Alicante city, where teachers have expressed their determination to continue with the protests until a satisfactory agreement is reached with the Conselleria de Educación.
