Municipal paralysis in San Fulgencio and l'Alqueria d'Asnar reaches the Cortes Valencianas
Governability problems in two municipalities in the province of Alicante have transcended to the regional level and are being debated in the Cortes.
The situation of political deadlock in the town halls of San Fulgencio and l’Alqueria d’Asnar has reached the Cortes Valencianas, where the administrative paralysis affecting both municipalities has been addressed.
Although municipal politics is not usually the subject of debate in the regional parliament, the cases of these two councils have attracted attention due to their severity and impact on local management.
The paralysis in these Alicante municipalities prevents the normal functioning of services and the taking of key decisions for residents, which has prompted their transfer to the sphere of regional politics.
The Cortes Valencianas have included these cases on their agenda, evidencing institutional concern over the situation facing both localities in the province.
