Work on Elche’s future Palacio de Congresos is scheduled to begin in 2027, according to reports following a joint committee meeting between Elche Ayuntamiento and the Diputación Provincial.
The meeting was attended by mayor Pablo Ruz and Diputación president Toni Pérez, who discussed details of the project aimed at providing the city with infrastructure to attract events and conferences.
In addition to the Palacio de Congresos, the mayor has opened the door to establishing a hospitality and catering concession in the building of Elche’s former Casino.
