Alicante shops decorate their windows with creativity to celebrate the Hogueras
Establishments across the city are decorating their shop windows with original hogueras made from diverse materials to join in the San Juan festivities.
Alicante shops have thrown themselves into celebrating the Hogueras de San Juan by transforming their windows into authentic works of art. From the plantà to the cremà, the city’s shop windows showcase the creativity of local traders.
Amongst the most original displays are hogueras made from peanuts, flames crocheted by hand, palm trees crafted from sweets, and colourful fireworks. Some establishments have incorporated traditional figures such as the Alicante bride adapted to their sectors.
This initiative forms part of local commerce’s involvement in the city’s most important festivities. The shop windows thus become a festive trail that allows residents and visitors to enjoy the ingenuity and celebration of the Hogueras in every corner of the city centre.
