Classic mascletà in Unicef Avenue as a taste of Hogueras de San Juan in Alicante
A six-minute pyrotechnic display with fifty kilos of explosives marks the prelude to the Hogueras de San Juan festivities in Alicante.
Unicef Avenue in Alicante will host a classic mascletà as a preview of the Hogueras de San Juan, the city’s main festival celebrated every June.
The pyrotechnic spectacle will last six minutes and employ fifty kilos of net explosive content, offering attendees a foretaste of the festive atmosphere that characterises this time of year.
The mascletà is one of the most eagerly awaited events during the Hogueras de San Juan, with daily displays that draw thousands of people to the city centre to enjoy the thunder and colour of gunpowder.
This event marks the start of the calendar of activities that will culminate with the plantà of the monumental hogueras and the traditional Cremà on the night of San Juan.
