Mass demonstration in Dénia in defence of state education
A new mass protest takes to the streets of Dénia in support of state schools and teachers on indefinite strike.
The streets of Dénia have hosted another mass demonstration in defence of state education, according to local sources. The mobilisation has been described as “highly symbolic” by the organisers.
The protest takes place in the context of an indefinite teachers’ strike demanding improvements for state schools. Thousands of people gathered to show their support for teachers and call for a firm commitment to state education.
The demonstration marched through the town centre with a clear message: “State education is a stronghold”. Participants highlighted the importance of defending this service as a fundamental pillar of society.
This mobilisation follows other similar rallies that have been taking place in Dénia and other towns in the Marina Alta in recent weeks.
