New pavement after seven years of promises in Las Torretas, Torrevieja
Residents of Las Torretas celebrate the construction of a pavement after seven years waiting for municipal promises to be fulfilled.
Residents of the Las Torretas neighbourhood in Torrevieja have finally seen a pavement materialise after seven years of waiting and broken promises from the Ayuntamiento.
The new pedestrian infrastructure represents an achievement for neighbours who had repeatedly called for this basic urban improvement to the area.
During these years, promises of action followed one after another without being realised, generating frustration amongst the local community that demanded safe conditions for pedestrian traffic.
The completion of this work reflects the usual delays in small neighbourhood infrastructure projects and the persistence of residents in claiming essential urban services.
