New delay in Torrevieja port works until mid-August
The Town Council approves the second contract modification, postponing the completion of the promenade and Mínguez quay.
The local governing board of Torrevieja approved last Friday the second modification to the contract for the refurbishment works on the edge of the fishing quay, awarded to the company González Soto S.A.
This modification represents a new delay in the completion of the works on the promenade and Mínguez quay, which are now expected to be finished by mid-August.
The refurbishment works on the edge of the fishing quay form part of a wider project to improve Torrevieja’s port infrastructure.
The delay affects an area of high tourist and recreational footfall during the peak summer season, which could cause inconvenience for both residents and visitors.
