The Moros y Cristianos festivities in Petrer continue this Monday with the celebration of two of their most emblematic events: the Guerrilla and the Embajada.
These events form part of the festive programme that each year brings together residents and visitors in this town in the interior of the province of Alicante, neighbouring Elda.
The Guerrilla represents one of the most eagerly awaited moments of the festivities, whilst the Embajada stages the diplomatic encounter between the two factions.
The Moros y Cristianos festivities constitute one of the most deeply rooted traditions in numerous municipalities in the province, with Petrer being one of the leading examples in the celebration of these festivities.
