Loquat and table grape producers demand permanent income tax reduction in Alicante
Agricultural organisations are calling on the Conselleria to push the Government for a structural reduction in net income tax rates for loquat and table grape crops.
The main agricultural organisations in Alicante have joined forces to demand tax improvements. La Unió, Asaja Alicante, Cooperatives Agro-alimentarias, Fexphal and the table grape and loquat denominations of origin from Vinalopó and Callosa d’en Sarrià have submitted their request to the Conselleria de Agricultura.
Producers are calling on the regional administration to push the central Government for a structural and permanent reduction in the net income tax rates applicable to both crops under the objective estimation system.
The initiative seeks to ease the tax burden on two iconic crops in Alicante province, which face rising production costs and international competition. The organisations are demanding tax stability to guarantee the economic viability of these traditional agricultural holdings.
