PSOE denounces 'botched jobs' in Alicante pavement maintenance worth 8 million
The Socialist Municipal Group criticises the Ayuntamiento for replacing paving slabs with cement patches instead of using original materials.
The PSOE in Alicante has denounced deficiencies in pavement maintenance works that the Ayuntamiento is carrying out in various neighbourhoods across the city. According to the socialists, the operation is worth 8 million euros.
The main criticism centres on the fact that, instead of replacing damaged paving slabs with original material, cement patches are being laid. This practice, considered inadequate by the municipal group, affects the appearance and durability of the pavements.
The socialists describe these interventions as ‘botched jobs’ and question the quality of work carried out with a multi-million-euro budget. The works are being undertaken in different neighbourhoods across the city.
The denunciation forms part of the PSOE’s opposition to the municipal administration’s management of urban infrastructure and maintenance of public spaces.
