Air rescue under way to locate three hikers in Sella
Alicante firefighters mobilise helicopter and high-altitude rescue team to search for three missing persons on the Cresta dels Castellets route.
Emergency services activated a search operation by air on Sunday in Sella to locate three people who were hiking the Cresta dels Castellets route.
Firefighters from the Diputación de Alicante have deployed a helicopter and the specialist high-altitude rescue unit to search the mountainous area.
According to Emergencias 112, the operation is under way to find the whereabouts of the three hikers missing on this popular mountain route.
The Cresta dels Castellets is known for its technical difficulty and requires experience in high-altitude hiking.
