Delay in payments to Alicante pharmacies causes unrest in the sector
More than 800 Alicante pharmacies have not received 45 million euros corresponding to April. The College blames the intermediary banking institution.
The Colegio Oficial de Farmacéuticos de Alicante has reported a delay in the payment of the pharmaceutical invoice for April, affecting more than 800 pharmacy establishments in the province.
According to the professional body, the regional administration fulfilled its obligations on time, but the delay is due to the intermediary banking institution responsible for managing the payment. In total, 45 million euros remain undistributed.
The situation is causing concern amongst Alicante pharmacists, who expect a swift resolution to the problem in order to receive the outstanding payments. The delay is affecting the liquidity of pharmaceutical establishments across the province.
