Breakdown between the Conselleria de Educación and unions calling a strike in the Comunidad Valenciana
The meeting between the Conselleria de Educación and the five unions represented in the Sectoral Board ended without agreement after they refused to sign the department's proposal.
The Conselleria de Educación ended negotiations with teaching unions this Wednesday after the five representatives on the Sectoral Board refused to sign the proposal presented.
STEPV, CSIF, CCOO and UGT, which are calling the strike, together with ANPE, which supports it, maintain their stance of not accepting the terms offered by the regional department.
The breakdown in negotiations highlights the differences between both parties in a context of mobilisations in the education sector in the Comunidad Valenciana.
The situation leaves the resolution of the labour dispute up in the air, whilst the unions maintain their strike call in the absence of consensus with the regional education administration.
