Second day of teachers' strike in Elche with demonstrations and poster campaigns
The indefinite teachers' strike continues its second day in Elche with decentralised actions in commercial areas, following Monday's mass demonstrations.
The indefinite teachers’ strike in the province of Alicante entered its second day on Tuesday with a more decentralised approach in Elche and Crevillent. Following Monday’s mass demonstrations, which brought together 3,000 people in Elche and 12,000 across the province, Tuesday’s action was characterised by gatherings and poster campaigns in commercial areas.
The education community intensified its demands against the Conselleria de Educación, calling for improvements to educational infrastructure. The second day’s actions sought to make the conflict between teachers, pupils and families more visible to the public.
The indefinite strike reflects widespread discontent within the education sector over current conditions in schools across the comarca.
