Teachers' unions negotiate with Consellería to end strike
Teachers' unions are meeting with the Consellería de Educación to try to call off the strike convened in the education sector.
Union representatives for teachers are holding a negotiation meeting with officials from the Consellería de Educación with the aim of resolving the dispute that has led to the strike being called in the sector.
The talks seek to reach an agreement that would allow the planned stoppages to be called off and address the demands of the teaching profession. The unions have attended the meeting hoping to achieve significant progress.
The strike affects the entire educational community in the province and calling it off would depend on the Consellería addressing the demands put forward by the workers’ representatives.
Both sides show willingness to engage in dialogue, although the definitive resolution of the dispute will depend on the concessions achieved in this day of negotiation.
