Torrevieja tenders cultural management of Auditorium and Theatre for nearly 3 million annually
The council is putting out to tender the comprehensive management of the Municipal Theatre, International Auditorium and Floating Museums for a sum close to 3 million euros per year.
The Municipal Institute of Culture “Joaquín Chapaprieta” of Torrevieja has approved in an extraordinary governing board meeting the tender for the contract for cultural management of its main facilities.
The tender includes the comprehensive management of the Municipal Theatre, the International Auditorium of Torrevieja and, as a novelty, the privatisation of the operation of the Floating Museums. The annual tender amount comes to nearly 3 million euros.
This initiative seeks to outsource the programming and operation of the municipality’s most emblematic cultural spaces, following the indirect management model already applied by other towns in the province.
The award of the contract will determine who will manage Torrevieja’s cultural offering in the coming years, including the programming of shows, events and the daily operation of these centres.
