Sant Joan residents resort to expert report to protect historic street over 500 years old
Residents of Sant Joan d'Alacant old town present a technical report to halt a PP urban planning modification affecting the historic centre.
Residents of Sant Joan d’Alacant historic centre are continuing their battle against the local PP government over the 25th specific modification to the General Urban Plan.
Residents have submitted a technical report as a strategy to protect a street over five centuries old, threatened by the urban planning changes proposed by the municipal government team.
The PGOU modification has generated strong neighbourhood opposition, with residents considering that the planned actions put at risk the historic heritage and traditional urban configuration of the town’s old quarter.
The conflict remains open whilst residents seek technical and legal support to defend the integrity of the historic town centre against municipal plans for urban transformation.
