Alicante hoteliers train 200 professionals ahead of new food waste law

The hotel sector in the province has trained more than 200 tourism professionals in food waste prevention, getting ahead of the new regulations.

The hotel sector in the Comunidad Valenciana and the province of Alicante has responded proactively to the new law on the prevention of food loss and waste.

More than 200 professionals from the tourism sector have received specialised training in the subject, anticipating the legal requirements that will come into force shortly.

This initiative reflects the sector’s commitment to sustainability and waste reduction in hotel establishments, restaurants and catering services in the area.

The training aims to implement best practices in food management and minimise the environmental impact of tourism activity on the Costa Blanca.
